Things are getting better!

Do things get worse before they get better? This is worse... The beer isn't mine. This is our shared dining room table office. The blanket is for extra warmth when the doors are open.
But this is better...Our new wee attic room ensuite... It doesn't seem to leak and it is tall enough for me and the UC (not at the same time).
Anyway, if things get worse before they get better, what happens when they get better? Do they get worse again?
I don't like the word worse. I like the word worst much better better. Three words muddle me up: worse, sculptor and nine: Worse never sounds finished; I always call sculptors sculptures; and if I have to write nine, I panic about the n - "is it a 9 or a n"? Luckily, I am of an optimistic disposition and rubbish at modelling with any sort of material. So 9othing to worry about.

This is a panda, Dangerous Dave.....

... in case you were muddled. By the way, guess where the UC and I are going soon?

Minnie is fed up with the attic conversion

She likes rolling in the dust though. She can change into a panda.

Sometimes things get worse before they get better...

Once, while on holiday in Lanzarote, I experienced a Saharan sand storm.
Today in my house, that same sand storm has appeared.
And it is a Sunday.
This has occured because the UC has decided to help the builders (who are VERY clean and tidy) by taking all the plaster off the bathroom walls.
The UC hasn't mastered the samel level of clean and tidy as the clean and tidy builders. He has been banging away for 5 hours now. I want it to stop. I want to run my hands over a surface that isn't gritty. He is unstoppable. Sometimes the UC upsets my nerves. This is happening now.

Life in a time of bacofoil

Ok, so it is week three and we are being insulated ready for basting. Here you will see our slimline bacofoil. This is to create maximum headroom. Essential for the UC and me.
